Chefs Bios

Executive chef and owner Marsha McBride is a Cal graduate and graduated from the San Francisco Culinary Academy. She has worked in the field for 25 years. Prior to opening Café Rouge in 1996, Marsha worked for 9 years at Zuni Café in San Francisco. Marsha was named one of the top 10 New Chefs by Food and Wine Magazine. Her recipes have appeared in Gourmet, Bon Appetit and Food and Wine.

Rick DeBeaord is Café Rouge’s chef and has worked for the restaurant since its opening. Rick graduated from culinary school in Sacramento and cooked there until moving to the Bay area to help open Café Rouge.
